Program Details: Once you register for this program, Every Penny Counts savings is applied on all POS transactions made with any BankFirst Mastercard® Debit Card linked to the account; you cannot pick and choose which POS transactions to round up. The Every Penny Counts program does not apply to cash withdrawals made at ATMs. If a final card transaction is a whole dollar amount (such as $15.00), no rounding occurs and no transfer is made. Credits to the savings account are considered deposits/transfers in and are not interest payments. Any cardholder on a joint account can register or un-register for Every Penny Counts without consent of any other joint owner. Transfers will occur on the same day the transaction is posted to your checking account. Once enrolled, transfers will begin to post on the next business day. Purchases made on weekends or holidays will post on the next business day. If on a business day you do not have sufficient available funds in your checking account, or if any transaction has overdrawn your checking account, BankFirst will not round up purchases posted on that business day and will cancel the transfer for that day. If your Debit Card purchase is subsequently canceled or reversed, the Debit Card roundup transfer remains in the savings account. Every Penny Counts is not available for Health Savings Accounts, Money Market, UTMA/Custodial, or Business/Organizational Checking. Upon request, you can terminate this service at any time. Always ensure you have sufficient funds in your checking account to cover the POS sales amount and the round-up transfer debit amount.
